Egypt’s PM: Rise in Remittances Highlights Confidence in Economy

Dr. Mustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt, stated today that the increase in remittances from Egyptians abroad underscores confidence in the strength of the Egyptian economy.

During a press conference following a government meeting, Madbouly condemned in the strongest terms the attacks against Kuwait and Bahrain. He noted that the upcoming fiscal year will feature comprehensive packages of tax and real estate incentives.

He also announced a 30% increase in the health budget and a 20% increase for education in the new fiscal year.
