Prime Minister Medbuli Reviews Fuel Reserves and Energy Supply Efforts

Dr. Mostafa Medbuli, Egypt’s Prime Minister, held a meeting this evening to discuss efforts to secure fuel reserves aimed at ensuring sustainable energy supply for citizens and various production sectors.

The meeting addressed the provision of petroleum products in the upcoming period, ensuring that citizens’ needs are met along with the operational requirements of electricity stations and the production sector’s demands for petroleum products. This initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to securing the necessary energy supplies to support economic activity.

Additionally, the meeting reviewed financial arrangements needed to secure petroleum products and production necessities, facilitating support for all production sector activities.

The attendees also discussed the current status of several ongoing electrical projects and efforts to enhance the electricity grid’s capabilities while improving overall energy efficiency, including initiatives for electricity generation from renewable sources.

Updates on the government’s offering program concerning petroleum sector companies were also reviewed, monitoring steps and procedures related to these offerings as part of the government’s plan to restructure and govern several state-owned enterprises across various sectors.

Present at the meeting were Hassan Abdallah, Governor of the Central Bank; Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy; Engineer Karim Badawy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources; Yasser Sobhi, Deputy Minister of Finance for Financial Policies; Dr. Hashem El-Sayed, Assistant Prime Minister and CEO of the State-Owned Companies Unit; alongside several officials from relevant ministries and agencies.
