Foreign Minister Stresses Need for Compromise in US-Iran Crisis

On Tuesday, Dr. egypts-foreign-minister-meets-with-japanese-liberal-democratic-party-policy-research-head/">Badr Abdel-Aty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held two phone calls with Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, and Steve Hanke, the U.S. Special Envoy for the Middle East. These discussions were part of ongoing efforts to monitor regional developments.
According to Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, the official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the conversations focused on the latest updates regarding U.S.-Iran negotiations. The parties exchanged views on advancing the negotiation process and efforts aimed at reaching a mutually acceptable settlement that would help reduce tensions between the two sides.
The spokesperson further noted that Minister Abdel-Aty reaffirmed during these calls the importance of continuing to strive for a compromise solution to the crisis. He emphasized Egypt’s commitment to working with regional partners to achieve a resolution that addresses the concerns of all parties involved and supports regional security and stability.
