Prime Minister Sets Timeline for Restructuring 59 Economic Bodies
Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister of Egypt, met today at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital with Dr. Hussein Eissa, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, to discuss the ongoing restructuring plan for economic bodies.
The meeting focused on reviewing the status of the restructuring plan that involves 59 economic entities. This initiative aligns with the government’s objectives to enhance their efficiency and maximize resource utilization.
During the session, various proposals and procedures were presented regarding the restructuring efforts. These included plans for abolishing certain entities, merging others into existing economic bodies, converting some into public service agencies, and retaining others as public economic entities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prime Minister Madbouly directed that a comprehensive timeline be established for this restructuring plan. This timeline should outline specific deadlines for merging and transitioning to public entities to expedite decision-making processes related to these changes and ensure implementation according to a clear schedule.
