Third Field Army Unveils ‘October Museum’ Following Renovation

The Third Field Army has inaugurated the “October Museum” after completing its renovation and modernization. The museum showcases a distinguished collection of historical artifacts and commemorative models that document the sacrifices made by the heroes of the Third Field Army in defending the nation throughout various eras.

The opening ceremony commenced with the unveiling of a commemorative plaque for the museum, followed by a tour of various wings displaying historical photos and documents highlighting the heroic feats of the Third Field Army. Attendees then watched a documentary film showcasing battles and victories involving formations and units from the Third Field Army.

During the inauguration, Major General Ahmed Mahdy Sarhan, Commander of the Third Field Army, emphasized the armed forces’ commitment to documenting its honorable history and showcasing the valor and sacrifices made by its personnel in upholding the nation’s banner. He noted that the museum serves as a national and cultural monument narrating stories of resilience and triumph by the heroes of the Third Field Army.

The celebration was attended by Major General Hany Rashad, Governor of Suez; Major General Hisham Fathi Shendi, Commander of Eastern Canal Forces for Combating Terrorism; Major General Hossam El Dahh, Director of Security in Suez; along with representatives from Suez University, several members of Parliament and Senate, local dignitaries, and students from Suez University.

This initiative reflects the armed forces’ dedication to instilling values of loyalty and belonging in future generations while commemorating the heroics written by military personnel throughout various phases of military history.
