The Ivory Coast national football team faced a tough defeat against Germany, losing 2-1 in a match held on Saturday evening at Toronto’s stadium, as part of the second round of group stage matches in the 2026 World Cup.

The Ivorian team started strong, with Frank Kessie scoring the opening goal in the 30th minute, ending the first half with a 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Germany fought back, equalizing through Deniz Undav before securing a dramatic late winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time, earning three crucial points for his team.
