Germany Stages Dramatic Comeback to Defeat Ivory Coast 2-1 in World Cup 2026

Germany secured a crucial victory over Ivory Coast with a score of 2-1 in their World Cup 2026 group stage match on Saturday evening.

Ivory Coast took the lead in the first half, with Frank Kessie scoring in the 30th minute. Kessie capitalized on a rebound inside the penalty area, striking the ball powerfully into the net to end the first half with his team ahead by one goal.

In the second half, Germany intensified their offensive efforts, and Denis Undav equalized in the 69th minute by successfully converting a cross into the goal.

The excitement continued until the final moments of the match when Undav scored a dramatic winner in the fourth minute of stoppage time. He seized upon a through ball, broke free from the defense, and calmly slotted it past the goalkeeper.

With this victory, Germany now tops Group E with six points, ensuring their advancement to the Round of 32. Meanwhile, Ivory Coast remains in second place with three points.
