Written byFerdous Saeed

Emery Fae, the head coach of the Ivory Coast national team, has attributed his team’s 2-1 defeat to Germany to a significant gap in experience. The match took place during the second round of Group E in the World Cup.

In an interview with beIN Sports, Fae noted that his team delivered a commendable performance in the first half, managing to take the lead and finish the opening period positively.

He added that his squad was close to scoring a second goal in the second half and had another opportunity even after Germany equalized.

The Ivory Coast coach emphasized that matches against top-tier teams are often decided by small details, asserting that his players failed to capitalize on their available chances effectively.

Fae concluded his remarks by highlighting the clear experience difference between the two teams throughout the match. However, he praised his players for their strong performance, stating that they fought honorably against one of the world’s leading national teams.
