Paraguay took a narrow lead against Turkey, finishing the first half with a score of 1-0 in their World Cup 2026 group stage match held at the San Francisco stadium on Saturday morning.
The current edition of the World Cup is being hosted in the United States, in collaboration with Canada and Mexico, from June 11 to July 19, featuring a record 48 teams for the first time in the tournament’s history.
Paraguay’s goal came from Matías Galarza, who unleashed a powerful shot from outside the penalty area just 65 seconds into the match, finding the back of Turkey’s net.
