Brazil Secures First Win Under Ancelotti with 3-0 Victory Over Haiti in World Cup 2026
The Brazilian national team achieved a convincing 3-0 victory over Haiti in their second group match of the 2026 World Cup. This win secures Brazil’s place in the Round of 32, alongside Morocco, as they lead Group C with four points, ahead of Morocco on goal difference.
This match was notable for several statistics, including it being the first World Cup victory for Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti. With this win, Brazil has now recorded a total of 77 victories in World Cup history, maintaining its position as the team with the most wins in the tournament.
This victory marked the first time Brazil scored three goals in a group stage match since their 4-1 win over Cameroon in 2014. Vinicius Junior continued his impressive form, contributing to six goals in his last six World Cup matches, with three goals and three assists.

Additionally, Ryan, at just 19 years old, became one of the youngest players to represent Brazil in a World Cup since 1970. Matheus Cunha also made history by becoming the first Brazilian player to score two goals in the first half of a World Cup match since Neymar did so in 2014.
With this latest performance, Brazil’s all-time scoring record in World Cups has reached 241 goals, surpassing Germany’s total of 239. The match also saw young talents Ryan and Endrick participate, marking only the second time in history that Brazil has fielded players under the age of 20 in a World Cup match.
