Carlo Ancelotti, the head coach of the Brazilian national team, expressed his satisfaction following the team’s comfortable victory over Haiti in the 2026 World Cup.

On Saturday morning, Brazil secured a resounding 3-0 win against Haiti at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, during the second round of the tournament.

Following the match, Ancelotti remarked, “Our performance improved today, and we need to continue this progress into the next game. I believe we displayed a harmonious attacking performance, scoring five goals, two of which were disallowed, but overall the team played well.”.

Ancelotti praised standout player Vinicius Junior, stating, “We placed Vinicius at the center forward position while leaving Douglas Santos on the wing, where he performed excellently. Vinicius is a threat not only in one-on-one situations.”.

He added, “He is more dangerous when attacking from the striker position; he can change his position and others adapt accordingly. The right side is more stable with Raphinha and Ryan because we prefer Danilo to play slightly deeper.”.

Regarding the second half of the match, Ancelotti acknowledged a decline in performance: “The strategy changed a bit; they pushed forward more compared to the first half. We had opportunities for counterattacks and scored a goal through Endrick that was ruled offside. Gabriel Martinelli also hit the post, so we could have played better and with more enthusiasm.”.
