Ayoub Bouadi Catches Real Madrid’s Eye After World Cup Performance Against Brazil
Real Madrid’s head coach, José Mourinho, is actively exploring options to strengthen the team’s midfield during the current transfer window, particularly amid challenges in securing a deal for Argentine midfielder Enzo Fernández from Chelsea.
According to Spanish newspaper “Marca,” Moroccan talent Ayoub Bouadi, currently with Lille OSC, has emerged as a candidate to bolster Real Madrid’s midfield alongside Portuguese player Matheus Fernandes of West Ham United.
The report highlights that while Enzo Fernández remains Mourinho’s top target for midfield reinforcement, complications arise due to Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso’s desire to retain the player in his squad.
Conversely, Chelsea management is open to selling Enzo Fernández but insists on a fee of at least €120 million for his departure.
Ayoub Bouadi drew significant attention during his performances with the Moroccan national team at the World Cup, particularly after an impressive display against Brazil, prompting Mourinho to consider him as part of the midfield options for next season.
Meanwhile, Matheus Fernandes is also attracting interest from several major clubs following his standout performances with West Ham despite the team’s relegation. Manchester United and Arsenal are reportedly vying with Real Madrid for his signature.
Earlier, Real Madrid announced the signing of Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva on a free transfer, following Mourinho’s recommendation after Silva concluded a successful nine-year stint with Manchester City that included 20 titles.
