During the meeting, Dr. Madbouly expressed cautious optimism regarding the new phase of the framework agreement between the United States and Iran, which is approaching its official signing date. He emphasized the need for a comprehensive resolution to geopolitical crises in the Middle East to ensure regional and global peace and stability. This comes in light of the suffering experienced in the region due to prolonged wars and conflicts that have had numerous negative repercussions on economic conditions, supply chains, maritime navigation, and other adverse effects still impacting both the region and the world.

The Prime Minister also highlighted President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s recent activities, particularly his participation in the G7 summit held in Évian, France. The summit included leaders from member states and invited countries, with Egypt participating as a partner nation.

Dr. Madbouly noted that President El-Sisi’s attendance at the summit included several important meetings and sessions that conveyed strong messages regarding Egypt’s stance on current regional crises. The President met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President Charles Michel, and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz. He also attended a crucial session titled “Emerging from Crises and Ensuring Stability in the Middle East.”.

Among these strong messages was Egypt’s readiness to collaborate with regional and international partners to achieve sustainable solutions to ongoing issues. The President expressed hope that this framework agreement between Iran and the United States would signify a new phase leading to conflict resolution in the region and a reduction in regional tensions. He reiterated Egypt’s complete rejection of unprovoked aggression against Gulf Arab states and emphasized Egypt’s solidarity with these nations to preserve their security and stability, affirming that Arab security is an integral part of Egypt’s national security.

The Prime Minister further highlighted that during his discussions at the summit, President El-Sisi stressed that the Palestinian issue must remain a priority. He called for implementing the second phase of the agreement to end hostilities in Gaza while acknowledging Egypt’s efforts in this regard, coordinated with the United States and other mediators. Additionally, he reiterated that establishing stability in the region requires all parties to adopt a responsible approach based on respecting state sovereignty while rejecting any aggression or interference in their internal affairs, ending occupation, adhering to international law principles, and maintaining national state institutions while confining arms within legitimate institutions.

In light of these discussions, Dr. Madbouly expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of himself and government members to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi for his insightful vision and steadfast positions regarding regional and international crises. He praised Egypt’s clear stance against aggressions faced by Arab countries while reaffirming solidarity with Gulf nations as an integral aspect of Egypt’s national security.

The Prime Minister concluded by extending his congratulations to President El-Sisi and the great Egyptian people on the occasion of the new Hijri year, expressing hope for a year filled with goodness, growth, and prosperity for Egypt.
