Cairo Announces 73% Success Rate for Intermediate Certificate Exams
Dr. Ibrahim Saber, the Governor of Cairo, has officially announced the results of the second semester examinations for the Intermediate Certificate ( الشهادة الإعدادية) for the academic year 2025 – 2026, reporting a success rate of 73%. Out of 203,162 students who registered for the exams, 197,525 attended, with 144,114 successfully passing.
Additionally, the governor approved results for students with disabilities: a success rate of 96.6% for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, 78% for visually impaired students, and 77.9% for international school students. The professional intermediate certificate had a success rate of 60.88%, while the sports intermediate certificate achieved a rate of 61%.
Dr. Hemat Abu Keila, Director of the Education Directorate, reported that 303 students achieved full marks, including 294 in general intermediate education, three in professional intermediate education, three in visually impaired education, and three in deaf and hard-of-hearing education.
The Helwan Educational Administration topped the governorate with a success rate of 97%, followed by the Rod El Farag Educational Administration at 94.4%, and Shubra Educational Administration at 89%.
