Health Ministry Unveils Comprehensive Plan for Medical Projects Expansion in Cairo Aligned with Egypt Vision 2030
Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, met with Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Governor of Cairo, to explore avenues for collaboration aimed at enhancing the city’s hospitals and improving the efficiency of health facilities. This initiative seeks to elevate the quality of medical services provided to citizens.
During their meeting, the two officials discussed proposals for upgrading existing hospitals and improving infrastructure. They also evaluated suitable locations for new medical facilities that would address citizens’ specialized healthcare needs, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and appropriate therapeutic environments.
Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, noted that the meeting focused on mechanisms for expanding health projects in the governorate as part of a comprehensive plan designed to enhance healthcare efficiency and achieve high-quality standards in line with the state’s strategy and Egypt Vision 2030.
The Minister emphasized the ministry’s commitment to continue developing health facilities and broadening medical services to meet citizens’ needs. He stressed the importance of ongoing coordination among relevant authorities to effect a qualitative shift in the healthcare system.
Dr. Ibrahim Saber expressed his appreciation for the Ministry of Health’s efforts in hospital development, praising the improvements that positively impact service quality. He reaffirmed his commitment to ongoing cooperation and complete coordination between the governorate and the ministry to implement development plans.
Attending the meeting from the ministry were Dr. Peter Wajih, Assistant Minister for Therapeutic Medicine, and Dr. Tamer Madkour, Director of Cairo Health Affairs Directorate. Representing the governorate was Major General Bassem Emara, Director of Housing Directorate.
