He stated that the President did not attend as a guest of honor alongside his Arab counterparts.
In a special interview with journalist Samir Omar on Cairo News, Rashwan explained, “Today, there was a ‘7+3’ meeting involving the G7 nations and three Arab countries: Egypt, the UAE, and Qatar. Thus, we are now partners in this significant international forum, which is the largest economic gathering in the world—not just from an economic perspective but also regarding its influence on the global economy.”.
He further elaborated that the advanced world, particularly the G7 nations, has experienced unprecedented turmoil due to political and military crises emerging in the region and beyond. Rashwan noted that the invitation extended to President Sisi and two other Arab leaders to attend this major economic assembly underscores that politics has become an urgent threat in every sense. The three countries represent a volatile region that impacts global economies; therefore, they must be seen as partners rather than mere guests—a crucial point that needs to be recognized.
