In a special interview with journalist Samir Omar on Cairo News, Rashwan stated, “These are not just theoretical formulations written in the constitution; they represent a tangible movement on the ground that asserts itself and manifests during crises. When these crises erupt, the truth is tested.”.
He added that Egypt views Arab national security as inseparable from its own national security. He noted that when parts of the Arab world face danger or threats, Egypt underscores this principle more emphatically, particularly concerning the Gulf region.
Rashwan further explained that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi has unequivocally rejected any unjustified attacks on Gulf countries, specifically referring to actions taken by Iran. He asserted that Iran’s calculations were misguided when it targeted Gulf states.
