Egypt’s Armed Forces Celebrate the Islamic New Year 1448 AH.
The Egyptian Armed Forces held a religious celebration to mark the beginning of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH, attended by several leaders, officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers of the armed forces, alongside scholars from Al-Azhar and the Ministry of Religious Endowments.
The event commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran by Sheikh Mustafa Abdel Wahab. Dr. Al-Shahat Sayed Azazi, an Al-Azhar scholar, delivered a speech highlighting the lessons and values derived from the Prophet Muhammad’s migration, emphasizing themes of sacrifice, patience, sincerity, and diligent work for the betterment of nations.

Additionally, Major General Ehab Mohamed El-Fayoumi, Assistant Minister of Defense, delivered remarks on behalf of General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production. He emphasized that this celebration honors the significant meanings embodied in the Prophet’s migration in human history, drawing inspiration from the noble example of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in generosity and service.
He affirmed that members of the armed forces are dedicated to sacrificing their utmost for the preservation of Egypt’s great national resources.
