On Tuesday, Hassan Raddad, Egypt’s Minister of Labor, announced the launch of a new initiative titled “Ask the Ministry of Labor.” This digital platform aims to facilitate communication by allowing citizens to send inquiries via WhatsApp and receive official responses. The initiative is part of the ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance service quality and ensure accurate information reaches citizens directly from official sources.

The designated WhatsApp number for inquiries is “01035358685.” Citizens can send their questions in a single message, which should include essential details for processing their requests: name, national ID number, governorate, and specifics of the inquiry. This information will help in accurately assessing each request and directing it to the appropriate department for a professional response.

Raddad emphasized that this initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to improving response times for public inquiries and standardizing how these queries are handled. By organizing the examination process, inquiries will be directed to relevant departments or directorates, ensuring citizens receive appropriate responses based on the nature of their questions.

Furthermore, the initiative incorporates an internal monitoring system supported by artificial intelligence tools. This system will log questions and inquiries, categorize them, and determine how they should be addressed—whether through immediate responses to frequently asked questions or referrals for more complex issues requiring further review by specialized departments within the ministry or directorates. A dedicated technical team will oversee this process.

Minister Raddad reiterated that “Ask the Ministry of Labor” aims to streamline communication with citizens, enhance service quality, and reduce confusion regarding information sources. By providing a unified official channel for inquiries and responses from relevant authorities, the initiative supports ongoing efforts to foster digital transformation within the ministry and improve citizen services with greater speed, clarity, and organization.
