Grand Mufti Congratulates President Sisi on the New Hijri Year
Dr. Nazir Muhammad Ayad.
The Grand Mufti of the Republic, Dr. Nazir Muhammad Ayad, extended his warm congratulations to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the esteemed Egyptian people, and the Arab and Islamic nations on the occasion of the new Hijri year 1448 AH. He prayed that this year would be filled with goodness and blessings, and that this auspicious occasion would bring prosperity to all humanity.
Dr. Ayad emphasized that the new Hijri year carries with it a significant remembrance from Islamic history—the anniversary of the Noble Hijra, which marked a pivotal turning point in the journey of Islamic advocacy. He noted that it established values of faith, action, and sacrifice while also providing a unique model of effective planning, unwavering belief in God, and the ability to turn challenges into opportunities for growth and achievement. This cherished occasion calls for recalling the noble principles that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) instilled in building individuals and communities, as well as enhancing values of coexistence, cooperation, and collective efforts to achieve goodness, stability, and development.
The Grand Mufti prayed to God Almighty to make the new Hijri year one in which nations flourish and values of brotherhood and solidarity are strengthened. He asked for protection for beloved Egypt and our Arab and Islamic nation, wishing for unity among its people while invoking peace, security, and mercy upon all the world.
