Sisi and UAE President Welcome Agreement to End War with Iran

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi welcomed Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, during his recent brotherly visit to Egypt.
According to Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Presidency, a commemorative photo was taken of the two leaders upon their arrival at the Ittihadiya Palace. This was followed by extensive discussions involving delegations from both countries, a bilateral meeting between the leaders, and a luncheon hosted by President El-Sisi in honor of his esteemed guest and accompanying delegation.
The spokesperson noted that this visit reflects the ongoing close consultations between the leaderships of the two brotherly nations. President El-Sisi opened the meeting by welcoming his dear guest and his delegation, emphasizing the unique and strategic nature of Egyptian-UAE relations over the years.
He reaffirmed Egypt’s steadfast support for the stability and sovereignty of the UAE and its backing for all measures taken by its leadership to ensure the safety of its territory and security of its people. He emphasized that the security of the UAE and Gulf states is an integral part of Egyptian national security, highlighting Egypt’s commitment to support Gulf countries and all brotherly Arab nations.
In turn, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed expressed his deep appreciation for the hospitality and warm welcome he received, affirming the exceptional bonds between their peoples and governments. He underscored his commitment to ongoing consultations with President El-Sisi on various developments concerning bilateral relations as well as current regional conditions. He also expressed gratitude for President El-Sisi’s supportive stance towards the UAE and Gulf states.
The official spokesperson revealed that both leaders welcomed a recent agreement to cease hostilities with Iran and reopen the Strait of Hormuz. They also discussed several regional issues of mutual interest, agreeing on the importance of continuing coordination among Arab states to safeguard their security and interests in the forthcoming period. In this context, President El-Sisi outlined Egypt’s vision for addressing regional situations, which is based on supporting comprehensive and sustainable peaceful solutions aimed at restoring regional security and stability while redirecting efforts towards development rather than squandering national resources in conflicts.
