Inauguration of Advanced Audiology and Speech Department at Bulaq Dakrour Hospital

Dr. Ahmed El Ansary, Governor of Giza, has announced the opening of the newly developed Audiology and Speech Department at Bulaq Dakrour General Hospital.

This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to enhance healthcare services and improve specialized medical offerings for citizens within public hospitals.

The Governor emphasized that the new department represents a significant addition to the health sector in the governorate. It has been equipped with the latest medical devices and technologies in audiology and speech, which will facilitate comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients in accordance with the highest quality standards.

Dr. El Ansary further noted that the governorate continues to support efforts to develop public hospitals in collaboration with the Health Directorate, ensuring an expansion of specialized medical services and providing citizens with the latest treatment capabilities.

Dr. Ishaq Jamil Ishaq, Director of the Health Directorate in Giza, confirmed that the advanced Audiology and Speech Department at Bulaq Dakrour General Hospital includes state-of-the-art equipment for hearing assessment and diagnosis, specialized devices for diagnosing and treating balance disorders, as well as digital technology for brainstem auditory evoked response testing. The department also features integrated units for laryngeal imaging and swallowing assessment, alongside treatment programs for speech and language disorders, cochlear implants, and voice care.
