Interior Minister Sends New Year Greetings to President and State Officials
Mohamed Tawfik, Egypt’s Minister of Interior, extended heartfelt greetings to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on the occasion of the Islamic New Year 1448 AH.
In his message, he expressed, “On the occasion of the dawn of the new Islamic year 1448 AH, it is my pleasure, along with the police force, to convey our sincerest congratulations and best wishes for continued success and prosperity. We pray to Almighty God to make this a year of goodness and blessings for the great Egyptian people and all Arab and Islamic nations.”.
The message further highlighted that the Prophet Muhammad’s migration embodies values of sacrifice, patience, and dedication. It reflects a commitment to national cohesion amidst challenges and emphasizes ongoing efforts for the nation’s elevation and preservation. The past years have demonstrated Egypt’s strong will in reinforcing state foundations and striving for unprecedented developmental progress that enhances its regional and international standing.
“May you always be well,” he concluded.
Additionally, Tawfik sent a congratulatory message to Counselor Hisham Badawy, Speaker of the House of Representatives, on the same occasion. He stated: “As we celebrate the upcoming Islamic New Year 1448 AH, it brings me joy along with the police force to extend our highest congratulations to you and esteemed members of the House of Representatives. We ask Almighty God to bless our legislative institutions with success in their endeavors.”.
Reflecting on this new year celebration, he noted that it embodies principles of steadfastness on values such as sacrifice, integration, and altruism—principles that guide national work and fuel ongoing contributions towards achieving the aspirations of the great Egyptian people.

He emphasized that throughout history, migration has served as a moral foundation for nations’ revival—embodying values such as patience, planning, and diligence that drive progress towards achieving Egypt’s goals across various fields. He prayed for God’s continued blessings upon Egypt.

Tawfik also reached out to Grand Imam Ahmed Al-Tayeb of Al-Azhar with warm wishes for a prosperous Islamic New Year 1448 AH. He stated: “It is my pleasure along with the police force to extend our heartfelt congratulations to you on this occasion.”.
