Germany Leads Curacao 3-1 at Half-Time in 2026 World Cup Match

Germany took a commanding lead over Curacao with a score of 3-1 during the first half of their match in the 2026 World Cup.

The German team is competing in Group E alongside Ivory Coast, Ecuador, and Curacao, a group that provides the experienced German side with a significant advantage as they aim to secure early qualification.

The match started with an early advantage for Germany, as Felix Nmecha opened the scoring in the 7th minute. The goal came after a well-organized attack featuring impressive passing among the German players, culminating in Florian Wirtz delivering a decisive pass to Nmecha, who scored with a precise shot from inside the penalty area.

Curacao responded in the 22nd minute when Levano Comenencia equalized with a powerful left-footed shot from outside the box that Manuel Neuer could not save.

Germany regained their lead in the 38th minute through Nico Schlotterbeck, who headed home from a cross delivered by Nathaniel Brown, putting the Germans ahead once more before half-time.

Just before the break, Kai Havertz extended Germany’s lead by converting a penalty kick in stoppage time (45+5 minutes), striking decisively to the right of the goalkeeper and finding the back of the net.
