Engineer Randa Mansour, Egypt’s Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, recently inspected the progress of the “Beit Al-Watan” project located in the eastern extension of New Cairo. This visit marked the conclusion of her tour in the city.

She was accompanied by Ahmed Imran, Deputy Minister for Utilities, alongside several officials from the Ministry and the New Urban Communities Authority, as well as the head of the city’s development agency.

The Minister highlighted that “Beit Al-Watan” is a significant national initiative aimed at providing premium residential land for Egyptians working abroad, enhancing their connection to their homeland. The project encompasses approximately 17,555 plots of varying sizes designated specifically for expatriates.

Mansour noted that ongoing infrastructure work is part of the government’s strategy to accelerate development within the “Beit Al-Watan” project. This effort aims to prepare various areas for future residents and maximize investment benefits, solidifying its status as one of the largest urban development projects in New Cairo and a key initiative for expatriates.

She urged continued execution of infrastructure projects to support urban development rates and create a comprehensive living and investment environment. Additionally, she stressed the importance of addressing all citizen inquiries and requests promptly while clarifying procedures taken to meet their needs.

Ahead of her visit, Ahmed Rashad, head of New Cairo’s development agency, explained that the project is strategically located north of New Cairo’s extension area. It is bordered by the Cairo-Suez Road to the north and the Middle Ring Road to the southeast. The project’s connectivity to Mohamed Bin Zayed Axis leading to the new administrative capital enhances its investment appeal.

The “Beit Al-Watan” project comprises eight residential neighborhoods alongside diverse service and investment areas. These include regions such as South Suez, Orchid Area (1,000 acres), North 3-4 Area (1,000 acres), Fifth Area (1,000 acres), and 433 acres north of Beit Al-Watan. A network of main thoroughfares connects various parts of the project.

As part of this initiative, New Cairo’s agency continues to implement essential infrastructure works including road networks, drinking water supply, sewage systems, site landscaping, agriculture enhancements, and improving main thoroughfares—all aimed at elevating living standards and encouraging property owners to commence construction and residency.

Officials indicated that regarding land allocated for Egyptians abroad—which includes neighborhoods from first to fifth and parts of seventh neighborhood along with 433 acres north of Beit Al-Watan—there are 9,926 plots that have been fully serviced.

Furthermore, servicing has been completed for all plots within the “most distinguished” project covering neighborhoods six through eight as well as additional areas totaling 7,629 plots.

This brings the total number of fully serviced plots in “Beit Al-Watan” to 17,555 with ongoing efforts to complete infrastructure works across various regions according to established timelines.
