Daqahlia Governor Launches New VIP Bus Service with Fixed Fare
On Saturday, Daqahlia Governor Tarek Marzouk monitored the launch of the new “Mansoura Transport” system, featuring a VIP service aimed at enhancing public transportation in Mansoura city.
This initiative is part of the governorate’s efforts to improve mass transport services and provide safe, modern transit options for residents traveling to and from their homes.
During his visit, the governor interacted with several passengers aboard the buses to assess the quality of service firsthand. He instructed drivers and supervisors to adhere strictly to operational guidelines and wear official uniforms.
Governor Marzouk emphasized ongoing coordination between the bus station management and traffic authorities to ensure daily compliance by drivers with designated routes and passenger limits. He stressed that no additional passengers should be allowed under any circumstances and highlighted the importance of treating passengers well while maintaining service quality within the buses.
The initial phase of this system features three main routes:
Sundob – University
Talkha – University
Jadila – University.
The buses operate with a fixed fare of 10 Egyptian pounds. The new system includes air-conditioned buses equipped with Wi-Fi, comfortable seating, and designated stops, running from 7 AM until midnight.
Additionally, the governor announced plans to introduce more buses to cover all routes in the city adequately, ensuring sufficient capacity for passengers to prevent overcrowding and reduce waiting times.
