Egypt’s Electricity Minister Inspects Benban Solar Complex and Abydos 2 Project

Dr. Mahmoud Asmat, Egypt’s Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, continued his field tours to monitor renewable energy projects. He visited the Benban Solar Complex in Aswan, which has a capacity of 1,465 megawatts. During his inspection, he reviewed the control center of the complex and several substations. Additionally, he assessed the Abydos 2 solar project, which boasts a capacity of 1,000 megawatts, along with its associated battery storage station with a capacity of 600 megawatt-hours.
