USA Secures Second Goal Against Paraguay in World Cup Match

The United States men’s national soccer team increased their lead against Paraguay by scoring a second goal during their match at the Los Angeles Stadium, part of the first round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The goal was netted in the 31st minute of the first half, following a shot by Folarin Balogun that found the back of the net to the left of the Paraguayan goalkeeper from inside the penalty area.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup kicked off last Thursday and is set to conclude on July 19, featuring 48 teams from various continents.

The match between the USA and Paraguay took place this morning at 4 AM local time in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and at 5 AM in the UAE.

The draw for the World Cup held at the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington placed Paraguay in Group D alongside teams from the USA, Australia, and Turkey.
