Morocco’s Coach Challenges Brazil Ahead of World Cup Clash: ‘I Know Ancelotti’s Secrets and We Fear No One’
Mohamed Wahbi, the head coach of Morocco’s national team, has issued a challenge ahead of their encounter with Brazil in the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament commenced last Thursday and will run until July 19, featuring 48 teams from various continents.
Morocco is placed in Group C alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti, aiming to replicate their surprising performance from the Qatar World Cup.
The Moroccan team is gearing up to face Brazil in their opening group match, scheduled for 1 AM on Sunday in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, and 2 AM in the UAE.
During a press conference, Wahbi stated: “The Moroccan team is in a good technical and mental state, and facing Brazil will be a real test to gauge our progress and current level.”.
Regarding Brazil’s strength, he remarked: “We respect them, but we do not fear them. Their history will not change our objective for this match. We have prepared normally without any exceptional measures, and the players are filled with confidence.”.
He added: “My philosophy in football is that I never believe in luck. I believe in hard work and effort; ultimately, everything comes down to divine favor.”.
When asked about Morocco’s strategy against Brazil, Wahbi responded: “Do you want me to reveal our game plan against Brazil now? We have a clear system in place. I don’t understand why you’re so eager to know the plan; you’ll have to wait until match day to see it on the field.”.
