Bayern Munich Nears £104m Double Transfer Deal Amid Premier League Disappointment

Written byFerdous Saeed

Bayern Munich is on the verge of securing PSV Eindhoven forward Ismael Saibari and Eintracht Frankfurt left-back Nathaniel Brown in a significant summer transfer move.

Head coach Vincent Kompany aims to build on the club’s successful 2025-26 Bundesliga campaign and lead Bayern to its first Champions League title since 2020.

With a new left-sided attacker high on their agenda, Bayern recently missed out on a lucrative deal for Anthony Gordon, who transferred to Barcelona for approximately £69 million.

The Bavarian giants have now shifted their focus to Moroccan international Saibari, who has seen his performance soar in recent seasons with Eredivisie champions PSV. The versatile attacker, capable of playing both centrally and on the wing, concluded the 2025-26 season as PSV’s joint-top scorer with 19 goals across all competitions, including 15 goals and eight assists in 27 Eredivisie matches.

Saibari Prefers Bayern Move Despite Premier League Interest

The 25-year-old has attracted interest from several Premier League clubs. According to TEAMtalk, Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Newcastle United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Everton, and Leeds United have all been monitoring him closely over the past year.

Spurs and Newcastle have reportedly conducted extensive scouting of Saibari since January, while other clubs have engaged in discussions with intermediaries about a potential summer transfer. However, English teams are said to be ‘disappointed’ as Saibari has expressed his desire to join Bayern, with negotiations progressing for a fee around €60 million (£52 million).

Bayern is also optimistic about finalizing a deal exceeding €60 million for Frankfurt’s Brown, who has already agreed to personal terms with the club regarding a move to the Allianz Arena.

Bayern Expected to Secure Brown Despite Premier League Competition

Manchester United had shown interest in Brown but reportedly withdrew from the race for the 22-year-old defender to pursue alternative targets.

Premier League champions Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, and Spanish powerhouse Real Madrid have also been linked with Brown; however, a transfer to Bayern is believed to be his preferred option.

Currently away with the Germany national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup, Brown joins Saibari, who is preparing to represent Morocco at the same tournament. It remains uncertain whether their international duties will impact their transfers to Bayern.

Since joining Frankfurt in 2024, Brown has emerged as one of the top left-sided defenders in the Bundesliga. He has excelled as both a left-back and left wing-back and contributed ten goals (four goals and six assists) in 42 appearances last season. Despite his efforts, Frankfurt finished eighth in the Bundesliga and failed to qualify for European competition.
