Qena Governor Promises Sugarcane Farmers Their Payments Within 15 Days

Major General Dr. Mustafa Al-Beblawy, the Governor of Qena, announced that he has coordinated with Dr. Sherif Farouk, the Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, to address complaints from farmers regarding delayed payments for this season’s sugarcane crop.
Al-Beblawy stated that the Minister of Supply confirmed a meeting with Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, where it was assured that all necessary procedures would be completed to disburse the overdue payments to farmers within a maximum of 15 days. He emphasized that this issue is a top priority for the government to support Egyptian farmers.
The governor highlighted that the political leadership is committed to providing all necessary support for sugarcane farmers due to the crop’s significant role as a strategic commodity that ensures food security and bolsters the national economy.
