After a lengthy journey of over two years and 21 matches, the Iraqi national team has secured its spot in the 2026 World Cup finals. This achievement marks the longest qualification process among all participating teams, showcasing the determination and resilience of the “Lions of Mesopotamia” during challenging moments.
The Iraqi team is set to compete in Group 9, kicking off their campaign against Norway on June 16 in Boston. They will then face France on June 22 in Philadelphia, concluding the group stage against Senegal on June 26 in Toronto.
