The National Authority for the Regulation of Advertisements on Public Roads, under the Prime Minister’s Office, has commenced a series of coordination meetings with various provinces and new urban communities. Led by Engineer Iman Nabil, the discussions aim to review and assess the current status of all types of advertisements and examine proposed new plans to ensure compliance with the guidelines established by the authority in accordance with legal provisions.

Present at these meetings were Legal Advisor Walid El-Boushi, representing the Minister of Local Development, and Dr. Tamer Abdo, an advertising consultant from the National Center for Housing and Building Research. This collaborative effort seeks to ensure adherence to approved standards for regulating advertisements on public roads.

Engineer Iman Nabil emphasized that these meetings reflect the authority’s commitment to reviewing new plans developed by provinces and urban areas based on the comprehensive guidelines distributed to all relevant administrative bodies. She stressed the necessity of strict compliance with these guidelines in drafting new plans.

The initial meeting took place with advertising specialists in Damietta Governorate, where they reviewed what has been implemented regarding the assessment of existing advertisements and discussed new plans in relation to regulatory requirements across six centers in the province.

Subsequently, a meeting was held with experts from Giza Governorate to discuss plans for seven neighborhoods and review progress on inventory tasks and proposed plans in line with established regulations. Coordination is ongoing between the authority’s specialists and provincial authorities to finalize new plans after necessary adjustments are made.

Legal Advisor Walid El-Boushi highlighted the importance of provincial adherence to regulations governing advertisement planning and distribution on public roads. This adherence is crucial for maintaining each province’s architectural character while balancing economic returns with aesthetic considerations.

Dr. Tamer Abdo reiterated that well-organized advertisement planning enhances site utilization efficiency, leading to increased revenue from advertisement placements. This aligns with national objectives aimed at improving visual aesthetics and urban environments.

Engineer Iman Nabil further stressed the importance of adhering to deadlines for existing licenses, underscoring that new licenses or renewals must comply with approved plans to achieve national goals in organizing public road advertisements and enhancing urban landscapes.
