The Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities, through its Central Administration for Tourism Companies, announced the successful return of the final group of pilgrims participating in the land Hajj program via the Egyptian port of Nuweiba. This operation was coordinated with all relevant authorities to ensure the safe and smooth return of the pilgrims.
Samia Sami, Assistant Minister for Tourism Companies and Head of the Tourist Hajj Affairs Office, emphasized that the completion of this last group’s return marks a significant achievement for the ministry’s efforts in collaboration with various stakeholders. She noted that it represents a successful conclusion to the comprehensive system implemented throughout the Hajj season. The ministry monitored the movements of all participating tourist vehicles in real-time through its vehicle tracking center, ensuring compliance with designated routes and schedules.

The operations room for monitoring land Hajj trips operated continuously throughout the season to oversee trip progress and promptly address any developments, ensuring high standards of safety and care for pilgrims from their departure until their return home.

This season’s tracking system saw significant advancements, extending coverage beyond Egyptian borders for the first time. This enhancement allowed for comprehensive monitoring of vehicles throughout their entire journey, both outbound and inbound, thereby improving oversight and safety levels while showcasing the efficiency of the ministry’s digital system in serving pilgrims.

During the 1447 AH pilgrimage season, the ministry successfully transported 5,700 pilgrims as part of its land Hajj program using a fleet of 130 modern buses. This effort reflects the ministry’s commitment to providing exceptional service and care to pilgrims from their departure until their return home.
