The Argentina national football team secured a resounding 3-0 victory against Iceland in a friendly match early Wednesday, as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2026 World Cup, which kicks off tomorrow in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Argentina took the lead in the eighth minute through a goal from Parco, followed by Lionel Messi extending the advantage with a second goal in the 72nd minute. Thiago Almada capped off the scoring with a third goal in the 86th minute, demonstrating Argentina’s readiness for the World Cup competition.

This match against Iceland served as the final rehearsal for Argentina, led by Messi, before they begin their title defense at the 2026 World Cup on Thursday, June 11.
