At the beginning of the meeting, the minister listened to a presentation from the WEC delegation outlining their strategic vision, international work plans, organizational structure, and programs aimed at developing job markets and enhancing employment opportunities while aligning skills with global economic needs.

They also discussed the operational mechanisms of the WEC, its international network relations, and its role in supporting modern employment policies and enhancing labor market efficiency.

The minister highlighted the importance of leveraging WEC’s plans to support Egypt’s employment efforts. He directed that a joint cooperation memorandum be drafted between the Ministry of Labor and the WEC, which would include a clear and actionable implementation plan aimed at creating new pathways for Egyptian youth employment abroad. This plan will also utilize the WEC’s network of partners and international relations, especially in European markets where there is an increasing demand for skilled and trained labor.

Raddad stressed that Egypt possesses a large base of qualified human resources. The Ministry of Labor continues to enhance its vocational training system and improve its training centers in collaboration with the private sector and development partners. This effort aims to prepare technical and professional cadres that meet international standards and align with labor market needs both domestically and internationally.

He confirmed that Egypt is ready now to supply foreign job markets with skilled and trained workers across various demanded specialties. This readiness is part of Egypt’s commitment to strengthen partnerships with international organizations specializing in employment and human resource development, following directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to invest in human capital and prepare youth according to international standards while addressing labor market needs. This initiative supports national efforts towards achieving development and enhancing decent work opportunities.

During the meeting, the WEC delegation presented several initiatives and programs being implemented in collaboration with governments, private sectors, and recruitment institutions worldwide. These efforts aim to support sustainable employment, skill development, and adapt to rapid changes in the global labor market.

WEC officials expressed their appreciation for Egypt’s efforts in developing employment policies, training programs, and skill enhancement initiatives. They affirmed that Egypt’s labor market has significant potential for positive interaction with rapid global changes. They view Egypt as an important partner in the region for human resource development and preparing competitive talents on a global scale.

Both parties underscored the importance of maintaining communication and coordination moving forward to establish practical frameworks for joint cooperation that would support decent work opportunities, enhance youth employment prospects, and leverage global labor market changes to serve economic and social development goals.
