Cairo Hosts Positive Talks Among Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey on Gaza Peace Plan

Cairo hosted a high-level meeting on Sunday involving mediators from the Gaza ceasefire agreement, including representatives from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, alongside various Palestinian factions.

According to a video broadcast by Cairo News Channel, the meeting was attended by Egyptian Intelligence Chief Hassan Rashed, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman, and Turkish Intelligence Chief Ibrahim Kalin.

The primary goal of this meeting was to advance ongoing negotiations regarding the implementation of the second phase of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. Participants expressed their gratitude for the efforts made by Egypt under President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi’s leadership, as well as the intensive work by all parties involved to complete the provisions of President Trump’s plan, in accordance with the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit.

The discussions included a proposed roadmap for completing the agreement and were characterized by a positive atmosphere. There was consensus on the need to proceed with implementing Trump’s plans, particularly all provisions of the first phase, with all parties assuming their responsibilities to contribute to achieving sustainable calm. This is seen as essential for rebuilding Gaza and positively impacting living conditions to alleviate the suffering of Palestinian citizens in the region.
