Healthcare Authority Chief Proposes Pilot Operation for Suez Integrated Clinic

Dr. Ahmed El-Sobky, the head of the General Authority for Health Care and the supervisor of the Comprehensive Health Insurance Project, recently met with Dr. Ibrahim Sarhan, Chairman of e-Finance Investment Group, and Akram Reda, the Managing Director. The meeting focused on exploring collaborative efforts in digital health transformation, enhancing the technological infrastructure supporting the comprehensive health insurance system, and preparing for the second phase of its implementation.
During the meeting, Dr. El-Sobky emphasized the Authority’s support for leading national companies in digital health technology. This collaboration aims to advance systems for managing and integrating health data, contributing to Egypt’s goal of establishing a sophisticated digital health system based on governance, efficiency, and sustainability.
Dr. El-Sobky also discussed a proposal for a pilot operation at the Suez Integrated Clinic. This initiative aims to test the efficiency of integration with the Authority’s digital system and ensure that necessary technological infrastructure is ready for actual operations, facilitating comprehensive and effective digital health services.
He outlined proposed areas of cooperation between both parties, which include telemedicine diagnostic services, applications of artificial intelligence in healthcare, enhancing revenue cycle management efficiency, and developing a comprehensive digital platform for medical tourism to promote Egypt’s medical capabilities and attract patients from various countries.
Dr. Ibrahim Sarhan expressed his pride in collaborating with the General Authority for Health Care. He noted that the current phase requires advanced national models in digital health technology capable of supporting decision-making and managing health data efficiently. This would contribute to improving health services and achieving high levels of quality and operational efficiency. He also highlighted his company’s eagerness to enhance cooperation with the Authority in areas such as digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and smart healthcare services.
The meeting was attended by several officials from the General Authority for Health Care, including Dr. Hani Rashid, Deputy Head of the Authority; Dr. Amir Al-Talwani, Executive Director; Dr. Jamal Ratba, Financial Studies Advisor to the Head of the Authority; Dr. Mohamed Sami, Assistant Executive Director; Major General Hisham Shendi, Head of Central Information Systems; and Dr. Mahmoud El-Dib, Head of Central Affairs in the Office of the Authority’s President.
