Written byFerdous Saeed

Ahmed Shobeir, a prominent sports broadcaster, praised the Egyptian national team for their solid performance in a friendly match against Brazil, held early Sunday as part of both teams’ preparations for the 2026 World Cup.

During his radio show “With Shobeir” on ON Sport FM, he stated that the match was reassuring for both the coaching staff and fans, as it helped alleviate the anxiety associated with facing top-tier teams. He noted that the game yielded several important technical benefits across all positions.

Shobeir highlighted that statistics from the match reflect a close contest between the two sides, with Brazil holding 51% possession compared to Egypt’s 49%, showcasing the competitive nature of the encounter.

He emphasized the importance of avoiding comparisons between Egypt and Morocco, stressing that each team has its own unique circumstances, particularly given Morocco’s greater number of players competing in European leagues.

In related news, Egypt’s coaching staff, led by Hossam Hassan, has now shifted its focus from the match against Brazil to prepare for their upcoming clash with Belgium in their World Cup opener.

The Egyptian team is eagerly anticipating the start of the World Cup, which will take place in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. They aim to deliver strong performances and achieve results that reflect the aspirations of Egyptian fans.
