Speculation surrounding the future of French player Michael Olise, currently with Bayern Munich, has intensified due to significant interest from top European clubs, particularly Liverpool and Real Madrid. This prompted French national team coach Didier Deschamps to address the player’s situation.

Reports have linked Liverpool with a potential move for Olise as a replacement for Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, should he leave the club. Meanwhile, Real Madrid has also entered the conversation following comments from club president Florentino Pérez, who discussed a prospective deal worth €150 million for a player participating in the Champions League outside of England, further fueling speculation about Olise.

In an interview with Spanish newspaper Marca, Deschamps stated that he does not view such discussions as unusual. He emphasized that the pressures associated with transfers are a natural part of modern football that players cannot avoid.

The French coach reflected on his early interactions with Olise, noting that he had been following him for some time before selecting him for Thierry Henry’s Olympic project. Deschamps acknowledged that it took Olise some time to establish himself, but he has since done so through strong performances and an influential presence on the pitch.

Deschamps described Olise as calm off the field and somewhat shy but transforms into a prominent and impactful player once on it. He highlighted that Olise is now considered one of the most exciting talents in global football.

The coach expressed his happiness at Olise’s development, attributing his success to personal dedication rather than media attention, as the player remains focused on his on-field contributions.

Deschamps confirmed that Olise’s future remains open between staying at Bayern Munich or pursuing new opportunities. He stressed that there is no right or wrong decision; rather, it entirely depends on how the player envisions his career.

In conclusion, Deschamps expects continued interest from major clubs in Olise but also stated that remaining with Bayern Munich would be an ideal choice for both parties.
