Zamalek and Salah Mosadek Enter New Negotiations Amid Registration Ban Developments

Written byFerdous Saeed

During his program “Al-Laib” on MBC Masr, sports journalist Moheb Abdel-Hady revealed new developments regarding Zamalek Club’s ongoing issues with Moroccan player Salah Mosadek, alongside updates related to the club’s registration ban.

Abdel-Hady reported that sources indicated Zamalek has entered negotiations with Mosadek and his agent, Fahmy Belhaj, in an effort to reach a financial settlement to resolve the ongoing dispute.

The offer presented by Zamalek amounts to $200,000 as an initial payment from a total of approximately $800,000 owed, with plans to pay the remaining amount in installments over three to four months.

Player’s Demands

Conversely, Mosadek is insisting on receiving half of the total amount upfront, with the remaining balance to be paid in one lump sum by August. This demand represents a key point of contention in the current negotiations between both parties.

Legal Developments Regarding FIFA

In related news, Abdel-Hady confirmed that Salah Mosadek’s lawyer has formally requested a postponement for responding to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) until next Tuesday concerning the decision regarding Zamalek’s registration ban.

This move suggests a willingness from both sides to seek an amicable resolution rather than escalating the legal battle at this time.

Status of Sanctions

Additionally, it was noted that any potential settlement may not immediately lift the disciplinary sanctions but could strengthen Zamalek’s legal position before relevant authorities if a final agreement is reached between the parties.

These developments are part of Zamalek’s management efforts to resolve several outstanding issues, allowing the club to navigate past its registration ban in the upcoming period.
