FIFA Imposes 17th Registration Ban on Zamalek Football Club
The first football team of Zamalek Club has faced another setback as the International Football Federation (FIFA) announced a new registration ban, extending for three transfer windows, bringing the total number of legal cases against the club to 17.
Recently, FIFA confirmed the closure of two cases involving members of the coaching staff under Portuguese manager José Gomes after Zamalek reached a settlement and paid the outstanding financial dues. This development had previously reduced the number of registered cases against the club to 16.
Zamalek had recently celebrated winning the Egyptian Premier League title for the 15th time in its history, following a fierce competition with Al Ahly and Pyramids FC right up to the final moments of the local tournament.
