Students in the 2025-2026 academic year can now check their seat numbers for the high school exams, following the official announcement from the Ministry of Education and Technical Education. This service is accessible via the dedicated online platform for secondary school students, in preparation for the final exams starting on June 21.

The high school exams for the new system will commence on Sunday, June 21, with religious education and national education subjects, followed by a second foreign language exam on June 23, and Arabic language on June 28.

Science stream students will take their chemistry exam on July 2 and physics on July 9, while arts stream students will have geography and history exams on the same dates. The examinations will continue until July 16, covering biology, applied mathematics, and statistics based on the respective study streams.

This service allows students to check their seat numbers and examination center locations electronically using their unified school email, which was previously used to register for the high school exam application.

Minister’s Strict Instructions Regarding Seat Number Inquiry

Recently, Minister of Education Mohamed Abdel-Latif held a comprehensive meeting with education reporters to discuss how to check seat numbers for the upcoming high school exams. The meeting also addressed updates in educational system development and shared insights into various operational plans within the ministry. It highlighted the ministry’s intensive preparations for the high school exams.

Abdel-Latif emphasized that media and journalism play a crucial role in supporting the ministry’s efforts by conveying information transparently to raise awareness among parents and the public. He noted that media’s role has expanded beyond merely reporting events within schools to becoming a key partner in building societal awareness and delivering meaningful national messages across different community segments.

The minister reviewed measures taken by the ministry in preparation for this year’s high school exams (2025-2026), stressing that it bears significant responsibility in ensuring a safe examination environment through various procedures aimed at maintaining order during the exams. He assured that this year’s assessments would be at an average level while accommodating individual differences among students by including a percentage of questions designed to measure critical thinking skills among top-performing students.

He explained that this year’s examination committees would operate based on an integrated exam system that consolidates several exam centers within one location to enhance discipline and organization.

Seat Number Inquiry: Key Figures and Details

The minister noted that there are 613 examination centers this year comprising 2032 committees nationwide, compared to 2150 committees last year.

A total of 921,709 students are registered for the 2026 high school exams under both new and old systems. This includes 3,403 students from the old system and 918,306 students from the new system.

Abdel-Latif confirmed ongoing coordination with all relevant authorities in preparation for a smooth examination process while addressing any violations or attempts to disrupt it through modern regulatory measures aligned with rapid technological advancements.

He stressed that there would be zero tolerance for any violations or misconduct within exam centers. Immediate actions will be taken against anyone who disrupts examination protocols to ensure complete discipline and equal opportunities among all students.

The minister also announced that sample models have been made available to help students prepare for what to expect during their high school examinations regarding question formats.

Furthermore, Abdel-Latif reiterated his commitment to providing comprehensive support and care for high school students while ensuring close coordination with relevant entities to secure examination venues and create conducive environments for effective exam administration.

How to Check Your Seat Number for High School Exams in 2026

The Ministry of Education has outlined simple steps for checking seat numbers electronically:.

  1. Students should access the ministry’s website using their unified school email via this link: https://moe-register.emis.gov.eg
  2. Select “Exam Registration Platform.”
  3. Then proceed to the General Certificates Platform.
  4. After logging in with their unified school email, they can click on “View Seat Numbers.”
  5. This will display complete examination details including seat number and location of their examination committee.

The ministry confirmed that students could also obtain a physical seat number card from their enrolled schools starting Tuesday, June 2, 2026.
