Hussein El-Shahat Delays Contract Renewal Decision After Meeting with Sid Abdel Hafiz

Al Ahly winger Hussein El-Shahat held a meeting with Sid Abdel Hafiz, a board member at the club’s headquarters, to discuss the renewal of his contract ahead of the upcoming season.

During the meeting, Al Ahly presented a new financial offer to the player amounting to EGP 25 million, along with an additional EGP 8 million in bonuses tied to achieving collective championships and milestones. However, El-Shahat insisted on his previously stated financial demands, which prevented both parties from reaching a final agreement.

El-Abdel Hafiz and El-Shahat agreed to hold another meeting next week to continue negotiations and seek common ground that satisfies all involved.

After concluding their session, El-Shahat took time to visit the locker room to collect his personal belongings before leaving the club’s premises. He also took commemorative photos with all staff members in the locker room, a gesture that was greatly appreciated by those present.
