Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey Discuss Iranian Issue and Developments in Libya and Gaza with Trump Advisor
Minister of Foreign Affairs holds a quadripartite meeting with his Saudi and Turkish counterparts and Trump advisor.
Dr. Badr Abdel-Aty, Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, convened a quadripartite meeting on Saturday with Faisal bin Farhan, the Saudi Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, the Turkish Foreign Minister, and Massad Boulous, Senior Advisor to the U.S. President for Arab and African Affairs. This meeting was part of ongoing consultations regarding several regional issues of mutual interest.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Tamim Khalaf, stated that the meeting involved an in-depth exchange of views on various regional files. The discussions included the Iranian issue in light of the recent memorandum of understanding reached between the United States and Iran. The participants emphasized the importance of building upon this significant step to reduce tensions and enhance security and stability in the region.

Additionally, the meeting addressed developments in Libya, where there was a consensus on the importance of supporting efforts to maintain Libya’s unity, respect its sovereignty, advance the political process, and unify Libyan state institutions.
The spokesperson further noted that the meeting also discussed updates regarding the Palestinian issue, particularly developments in Gaza. Furthermore, they reviewed conditions across Africa and explored ways to enhance cooperation and coordination to support security and stability on the continent.
