Egyptian National Team Arrives in Canada Ahead of World Cup Clash with New Zealand

The Egyptian national football team, led by coaches Hossam and Ibrahim Hassan, has arrived in Canada to prepare for their highly anticipated match against New Zealand in the second round of the group stage at the 2026 World Cup.

The team departed earlier today on a private flight provided by FIFA, which aims to facilitate travel between host cities during the tournament. The flight lasted approximately one hour.

Egypt is set to face New Zealand in Group G, a match where the Pharaohs are eager to secure a positive result that would enhance their chances of advancing to the next stage of the tournament.

This upcoming match follows Egypt’s draw against Belgium in their opening game of the global competition.
