World Cup 2026: Mexico and South Korea Official Lineups Announced

Javier Aguirre, the head coach of the Mexican national team, has announced the official lineup for his squad ahead of their match against South Korea in the second round of Group A at the 2026 World Cup, currently being held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The highly anticipated match will take place at Estadio Guadalajara in Jalisco, Mexico, early Friday morning, as both teams aim to strengthen their chances of advancing to the next round.

Goalkeeper: José Rangel.

Defenders: Jorge Sánchez, Edson Álvarez, Johan Vásquez, Jesús Gallardo.

Midfielders: Luis Romo, Eric Lira, Marcel Ruiz Gutiérrez.

Forwards: Roberto Alvarado, Raúl Jiménez, Julián Quiñones.

Goalkeeper: Kim Seung-kyu.

Defenders: Lee Han-beom, Kim Min-jae, Lee Ji-hyuk.

Midfielders: Seo Young-woo, Hwang In-beom, Baek Seung-ho, Kim Moon-hwan.

Forwards: Lee Kang-in, Son Heung-min, Lee Jae-sung.

The match is set to kick off at 4 AM Cairo time and will be broadcast live on beIN Sports Max and the TOD app.

Mexico enters this match at the top of Group A with three points after defeating South Africa 2-0 in their opening game. Meanwhile, South Korea sits in second place with an equal points tally following their victory over the Czech Republic by a score of 2-1.
