Canada Doubles Lead with Second Goal Against Qatar in World Cup 2026 Match
The Canadian national team extended their lead against Qatar by scoring a second goal during their match today at BC Place Stadium. This contest is part of the second round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The tournament, hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico, features 48 teams and kicked off on June 11, with the final scheduled for July 19.
The match between Canada and Qatar began early Friday morning at 1:00 AM local time in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, or 2:00 AM in the UAE.
Canada’s second goal came in the 29th minute from Jonathan David, who struck a powerful shot to the left of Qatar’s goalkeeper, who was unable to make the save.
