Morocco’s Next Match in 2026 World Cup Scheduled After Historic Draw with Brazil

Morocco’s national team achieved a historic draw against Brazil this Sunday morning, marking the start of their journey in the 2026 World Cup.

The match, held at MetLife Stadium in the United States, ended with a score of 1-1 in favor of Morocco during the first round of the tournament.

Morocco took the lead in the 20th minute when Ismail Sabiri capitalized on a precise pass from Brahim Diaz, breaking through Brazil’s defense to score with a brilliant shot over goalkeeper Alisson Becker.

Brazil equalized in the 32nd minute when Vinicius Junior unleashed a powerful strike from inside the penalty area after receiving a pass from Bruno Guimarães, finding the back of the net despite Yassine Bounou’s attempt to save it.

Morocco is placed in Group C of the 2026 World Cup alongside Brazil, Scotland, and Haiti.
