Vinicius Praises Morocco’s Strength Ahead of World Cup Clash: ‘They Deserve the Title of Africa’s Brazil’

Brazilian international star Vinicius Junior has spoken about the strength of the Moroccan national team ahead of their highly anticipated match in the 2026 World Cup.

The 2026 World Cup kicked off last Thursday and is set to conclude on July 19, featuring 48 teams from various continents.

Brazil is placed in Group C alongside Morocco, Scotland, and Haiti, with the samba squad aiming to reclaim glory and secure their first title since 2002.

The Brazilian team is preparing to face Morocco in their opening group stage match, scheduled for 1 AM on Sunday (local time in Egypt and Saudi Arabia) and 2 AM in the UAE.

During a press conference, Vinicius stated, “The match against Morocco will be strong and entertaining for football fans. I hope we can deliver a game worthy of the value and stature of both teams.”.

He further commented, “Morocco deserves the title of Africa’s Brazil. They have outstanding players like Brahim Diaz and Achraf Hakimi, and they have developed significantly in recent years.”.

Regarding his future with Real Madrid, he added, “Right now, I am fully focused on the Brazilian national team. I will discuss my future and contract renewal with Real Madrid after the World Cup.”.
